Our facilities operate on a fee-for-service basis; patients may pay in RMB cash or credit card (VISA, AMEX, Master Card, Diners Club, or JCB) at the time of check out. ParkwayHealth has direct billing arrangements with numerous insurance companies; if your visit is covered by one of these providers, ParkwayHealth will bill the insurance company directly on your behalf for covered charges.
Please note that insurance coverage is between the patient and the insurance company, and is not under the control of ParkwayHealth. Patients are responsible for any charges not covered by their insurance policy, and disputes of coverage must be brought up with the insurance company directly. We will be happy to help provide patients with any documentation they may need for discussion with their insurance company.
All patients are issued an official receipt for services with a diagnosis letter signed by their physician. This letter also includes the credentials of the physician and can be used to claim reimbursement from insurance companies.
Many employers in Shanghai have corporate memberships and have established cashless service arrangements for their employees. Under this program, the employer is billed directly; employees do not need to pay at the time of service for covered services.
