Laboratory
ParkwayHealth has in-house laboratories within its facilities.
With a dedicated staff, a comprehensive range of lab tests are
able to be carried out on the premises, significantly speeding
up the time it takes to obtain results and diagnose illness.
Our laboratory services measure a wide variety of substances
in blood, urine, sputum, and stool including testing for anemia,
abnormal cholesterol, hepatitis and a range of infections. There
is a strong emphasis on quality control and use of international
standards.
Radiology & Scanning Services
Throughout our different facilities, we are able to provide the following radiology services:
- X-ray services with new digital imaging technologies
- Ultrasound services for obstetric monitoring, as well as for evaluations of the liver, gall bladder, pancreas, kidney, breast, and thyroid
- Digital Mammography
- Digital Bone Densitometry to diagnose osteoporosis
- Breath testing for Helicobacteria Pyloris, a bacteria causing gastric disorders
- Electrocardiogram (EKG) tracings and interpretation, including stress (treadmill) testing and echocardiography
- Measurements of pulmonary function including spirometry and oximetry
- Audiometry to measure hearing
- Video-endoscopic imaging of the digestive tract, including colonoscopy, coloposcopy and gastroscopy
- Specialized imaging services are available at our Specialty and Inpatient Center
Pharmacy
ParkwayHealth's facilities have a pharmacy on the premises, stocked with both BTC and OTC imported and joint venture manufactured medicines. Should you require any medication which is not locally available, our pharmacists will be glad to assist you and obtain it directly from the U.K. following a medical consultation.
Immunizations & Vaccinations
Our staff are familiar with the vaccination requirements and schedules for various countries, all of which can be administered onsite. The latest seasonal vaccinations, including flu shots, are also available.

- Visa Screening - ParkwayHealth offers official visa health screening services for Chinese nationals seeking visas for other countries. We have been designated by the Canadian, New Zealand, Australian, Spanish, and Argentinean consulates as authorized providers of immigration health care checks. Our Visa Health Screen clinic is located in the Shanghai Centre Clinic (link), conveniently located for many consulates in the area. Our visa health screen services comply with the regulations for the relevant countries. We offer quick turnaround; reports are available on the same day.
- Domestic Helper Health Check - As
much as you care about the health of your family, you
need to consider the health of the people who care for
your family. Communicable diseases such as hepatitis
and tuberculosis are more prevalent in China than they
may be in your home country, and these diseases are relatively
easily transmitted through common household tasks (like
food preparation) that an Ayi might undertake. As your
Ayi and driver become an integral part of your family,
their health becomes an important factor in and is important
to protect the health of your family.
