Direct Billing Partners |
| |
|
| |
We understand that medical bills can sometimes be complex and confusing. Like other health care organizations, ParkwayHealth Medical and Dental Centers are required to follow strict billing regulations from the government, insurance companies, and a variety of agencies based on the United States pricing and coding structure.

Our goal is to provide you with clear information about your bill and our billing process. This article attempts to answer some of the most commonly asked questions from our patients. |

| |
How much will I have to pay for a general consultation? |
|
The amount may vary with the different doctor and the illness that is treated. Consultation with a general practitioner ranges from RMB 400 to RMB 1850, whereas consultation with a specialist ranges from RMB 600 to RMB 2660. Please refer to the fee schedule for more information or feel free to raise any queries with our customer service representatives at the clinic.

I have insurance. How much will I have to pay for my hospitalization or clinic visits? |
|
Most insurance require the patient to pay some portion of the cost of the care they receive. You will be responsible for non-covered charges,
co-payments, or deductible amounts if any. The amount will vary depending upon your specific plan. The amount will be billed once we receive the Explanation of Benefits of your plan from your insurance provider.
|
| |
Do I have to pay my co-payment or deductibles? |
|
Yes. The billing officer will ask for your co-payment or deductibles after your consultation. If we do not have a record of your co-payment or deductible information, you will be billed once we receive the Explanation of Benefits of your plan from your insurance provider.
|
| |
When will I receive a bill? |
|
The length of time it takes the insurance companies to process a claim varies greatly and can be quite long.
Approximately 3 days after your visit or stay the charges will be sent to your insurance company. The length of time for them to respond to the claim is an average of two months or more. If you have a second insurance company or a Medicare supplemental plan we will prepare a claim for the balance and send it to them, which will again take about 2 months for them to respond. If there is a balance due, you will receive a letter indicating the portion that your insurance company has covered and the amount that you are responsible for. An official statement will be mailed to you in approximately 30 days after notification is received from your insurance company.
